What is the Importance of Voluntary Professional Certification for Career progression?

My executive management career is inextricably linked to voluntary professional certification. Professional associations accredit qualified individuals in a particular business or profession (McKillip, 2000). A candidate must demonstrate completion of the required courses and field experience over a specific length of time in order to qualify. Even though this is a voluntary course, it will reflect my professional credibility and expertise; therefore, I should select the program that most closely aligns with my career objectives.

The certification will confirm my knowledge in this area and raise the global demand for my services. In addition, I can apply for IPMA Level A, B, C, and D certification (Project Management Institute, 2019). The certification will increase my prospects of working as a global senior project manager. Any of the certifications will aid in my field recognition.
